Positive Psychology Internship at Happiness Academy
Are you ready to apply Positive Psychology principles in real-life setting, all while discovering new insights and developing your unique strengths?
Then you found the right place! At Happiness Academy, we offer a unique and engaging online internship experience. As an intern, you’ll have the chance to tailor your journey with hands-on learning and deep insights into the key topics of Positive Psychology.
What does the internship look like?
During your internship, you will take part in a mentoring program designed to align your personal interests in Positive Psychology with active projects and initiatives. While we aim to tailor your experience, the exact focus will also reflect the organization’s current priorities and available opportunities.
Depending on your interests, you will also have the option to combine your internship with contributions to the Trainers Toolbox, a program focused on developing practical training materials and tools for Positive Psychology coaching and training. Alternatively, your internship can focus solely on Happiness Academy, depending on your interest!
You will be given the responsibility for customer focused Happiness Academy resources, such as newsletters, blog posts and social media content.
In addition, you’ll have the chance to develop or enhance skills in platforms such as YouTube editing, Asana (project management), WordPress and Elementor (blog and website editing), Canva (design and presentations), Notion (content organization), and Miro (vision board and brainstorming tool), among others.
As part of your learning journey, you will be invited to participate free of charge in various workshop courses led by the founder of Happiness Academy, including a one-time “Life Design” workshop.
Finally, the internship offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to set your own working hours and schedule.
Internship duration & location
You can join the internship for a minimum of 3 months and up to a maximum of 6 months, providing ample time to gain meaningful experience. A longer internship is encouraged, as it allows you to engage with a broader range of projects and deepen your learning.
The internship is designed to be flexible. You can set your own work schedule and choose hours that suit your availability. At the start, you’ll be asked to define an approximate number of hours per week you plan to commit — this helps ensure clarity around your involvement in tasks and initiatives. However, both the exact number of hours and the start and end dates are highly flexible.
This is a remote internship, conducted fully online, offering hands-on experience in the field of Positive Psychology.
What do previous interns have to say about working with Happiness Academy?
“A Positive Psychology internship at Happiness Academy and Trainers Toolbox doesn’t just mean learning about the science of Positive Psychology or the practical side of running your own business. More than that, it means experiencing what it’s like to be part of a supportive, engaging, and ever-evolving company, where Mirna makes you feel right at home.
Parts of the internship are tailored to your own interests, letting you explore your ideas and passions. Other parts are the necessary tasks that keep things running smoothly. But above all, most of it is wonderfully nagging, new, knowledgeable, adaptive, challenging, positive and fun. These are the ingredients that keep me motivated, and I was lucky enough to experience them all, along with Mirna’s constant support whenever I needed it.
Thank you, Mirna, for giving me a glimpse into your world, your knowledge, your expertise, and the warm, inspiring person that you are. I truly enjoyed working with you, and I believe even greater things are headed your way.
Happiness really is at the heart of this internship and fits right with the name ;)”
Laura Haeck, Clinical and Positive Psychology MsC graduate at Tilburg University in the Netherlands, Luxembourg
“My internship with Mirna was more than I could wish for! Except from taking the time to figure out what it is that I would like to learn and do during my time with her, she actively helped me throughout every step of the way.
I learned a lot of stuff (from practical and technical skills to scientific tools and theories) and discovered more about myself as a professional and an individual alike.
Mirna makes sure to listen to your needs and worries, while making the learning process fun and engaging.
Additionally, Mirna is simply a wonderful person; her cheerful attitude, open mind and relaxed approach really creates an environment where you feel free to express yourself and can authentically flourish.
I wouldn’t give it a second thought: an internship with Mirna is worth it no matter who you are and what your professional background is.
It was an internship like no other, that truly felt like a beautiful journey into self-discovery, personal and professional development!”
Xan Georgiou, Positive Psychology Msc Student at Tilburg University in The Netherlands, Greece
“The collaboration with Mirna was extremely valuable for me. In the 4 months in Zagreb, I learned a lot about how to start a business in the field of workshops and coaching. I got to know the wide range of aspects that are included in running projects like Happiness Academy and Trainers Toolbox. Mirna was welcoming, full of positive energy and always curious about my ideas. We shaped our time together in alignment of our interests into a diverse and insightful period which truly enriched and advanced me on my career path. I was able to develop my personal working style as well as my delivering and presentation skills and expanded my knowledge of positive psychology.
Thank you, Mirna, for this amazing experience!”
Chiara Zeroni, Psychology MsC student at University of Applied Sciences Heidelberg, Germany
“I would highly recommend the Positive Psychology Internship to anyone looking to gain hands-on experience in positive psychology, performance, and life skills in general. I did a remote internship with Mirna, and I had two big takeaways. The first was getting practice with useful skills like copywriting and editing (although if you are interested in developing other skills, Mirna will certainly work with you on that). The second takeaway was that I got to attend a number of valuable Happiness Academy courses free of charge, which has really helped me align my goals and actions as I prepare to enter the professional world.
You cannot go wrong by choosing to learn from Mirna. She is very positive, warm, and understanding, which removed stress from the internship for me. She is never condescending and takes your opinions very seriously – she will often note down your thoughts to consider. If you are at all considering this internship, do yourself a favor and send Mirna an email!”
Reed Pryor, student of Arts in Psychology at Harvard University, USA
