What is the first thing on your mind when you wake up?
Is it that you don’t wanna leave nice cozy warm bed? Is it that you hate your alarm clock? Or that it is a nice and sunny day? Perhaps you start listing down the thing you need to do that day straight away? Or thinking of coffee because your brain is just not ready for the day without it?
How about trying out this one: When you wake up, wish yourself a great morning!
You can take it a step further: give yourself a nice proper warm hug (or a pat on the back), and perhaps even say something down the line “You are great! I love you!”.
If this feels a bit too much, just positive, honest “Good morning!” will be enough 🙂
Try this for couple of weeks and see how it gradually changes the way you feel in the morning.
